Ben Spong is a London-based architect and academic. His research-based practice spans architecture, interiors, object design, and digital image production, exploring the relationships between time, technology, and matter. His projects are shaped through close collaborations with fellow designers and makers, forming a dialogue across disciplines and techniques.
He is a Lecturer at the Bartlett School of Architecture, where he co-leads Unit 6 (BSc Architecture) and Unit 23 (MArch Architecture), and teaches on the Design for Manufacture (MArch) programme. He is currently pursuing a PhD titled Fabricating the Plausible Realm, which investigates how the act of making and the resulting physical objects sense worlds beyond our own.
